Connecting Google Business Profile to Review Rover

Connecting your Google Business Profile (GBP) is a crucial step in setting up your ReviewRover account, as it allows you to seamlessly send review requests and build a stronger online reputation.

This connection is typically made during the onboarding process, but you can also manage your GBP connection anytime from the Settings Tab. Here’s how:


Connecting Your GBP During Onboarding

For the easiest and most efficient setup, we recommend connecting your GBP during the initial account creation process.

  • This guide shows you how to:
    • Sign up with Google and select the email associated with your GBP.
    • Allow ReviewRover the necessary permissions required by Google.
    • Choose the GBP profile you want to send review requests to.

Pro Tip: Connecting your GBP during onboarding ensures a smoother setup experience and allows you to start collecting reviews immediately.


Managing Your GBP in the Settings Tab

Already signed up but didn’t connect your GBP? No problem! You can easily connect (or disconnect) your GBP at any time from the Settings Tab.

Here’s How to Do It:

  1. Navigate to Settings:
    • Log in to your ReviewRover account and go to the Settings Tab on the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Go to Review Sites Section:
    • Within Settings, click on the Review Sites section.
    • This is where you can manage all your connected review platforms, including your Google Business Profile.
  3. Connect Your GBP:
    • Click on “Connect Google Business Profile.”
    • Sign in to your Google account and select the email associated with your GBP.
    • ReviewRover will request the necessary permissions required by Google.
      • Rest assured, we only request permissions to create custom URLs that link directly to your review page—making it easier for your customers to leave feedback.
      • We do not request access to sensitive information or engage in any mischievous deeds! 🎉
  4. Select the GBP Profile:
    • After signing in, you’ll be asked to select the GBP profile you want to use for sending review requests.
    • Important Note: Currently, ReviewRover supports one GBP per account.
      • We’re actively working on adding Multi-GBP support. If you need to manage multiple locations, reach out to [email protected] for potential workarounds or updates on this feature.
  5. Confirmation and Connection Status:
    • Once connected, you’ll see your GBP profile listed under the Review Sites section with a confirmation message indicating a successful connection.
    • If you ever need to disconnect, simply click “X” next to your GBP profile to disconnect it.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Can’t Find Your GBP?
    • Make sure you’re signing in with the Google account associated with your GBP.
    • If your GBP is managed under a different account, you may need to switch Google accounts during the connection process.
  • Disconnected by Accident?
    • Don’t worry! Just follow the steps above to reconnect your GBP in the Review Sites section.
