Connecting Google Business Profile to Review Rover
Connecting your Google Business Profile (GBP) is the most important step in setting up ReviewRover. It's what allows the platform to generate your review link, pull in your existing reviews, and start sending automated review requests to your customers.
This connection is made during onboarding, but you can connect or manage your GBP at any time from Settings > Integrations.
Connecting During Onboarding
When you first create your account, ReviewRover will prompt you to connect your GBP as part of the setup process. This is the fastest way to get up and running.
During this step you will:
- Sign in with the Google account that has Owner or Manager access to your GBP
- Grant ReviewRover the permissions it needs — we only request access to generate your review URL, nothing more
- Select the GBP profile you want to use for sending review requests
Once connected, ReviewRover imports your existing reviews and your dashboard metrics begin populating immediately.
Connecting After Signup
If you skipped the GBP connection during onboarding, no problem. You can connect at any time:
- Log in and go to Settings in the left sidebar
- Click Integrations
- Click Connect Google Business Profile
- Sign in with the Google account associated with your GBP and grant the required permissions
- Select the GBP profile you want to connect
Once connected, your GBP will appear under Integrations with a confirmation of the successful connection.
Adding More Locations
ReviewRover supports unlimited Google Business Profiles under one login. To add a second or third location:
- Click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of your dashboard and select Create an Account, or
- Click Add New Location in the bottom-left sidebar
Each location gets its own dashboard, flow, and settings. After creating a new location, connect its GBP by going to Settings > Integrations within that location's account.

Disconnecting Your GBP
If you need to disconnect a GBP, go to Settings > Integrations and click the disconnect option next to your connected profile. Your historical data will remain intact.
Troubleshooting
Can't find your GBP during the connection process? Make sure you're signed into the Google account that has Owner or Manager access to the profile. If your GBP is managed under a different Google account, switch accounts during the authorization step.
Connected the wrong GBP by mistake? Disconnect it from Settings > Integrations and reconnect with the correct profile following the steps above.
GBP connected but reviews aren't showing? Allow a few minutes for the initial import to complete. If reviews still aren't appearing after 10 minutes, contact our support team.
