Signing Up to ReviewRover & Starting a Campaign

This article will guide you through creating your ReviewRover account directly on the website. It’s a quick and easy process, and you’ll be ready to explore the platform in no time.


Step 1: Start the Sign-Up Process

Go to the following link to begin your sign-up:

  • Sign Up Options:
    • Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign up using Google, you’ll be prompted to select which email address you want to use. This makes the sign-up process quicker and more secure.
    • Email Sign-Up: Alternatively, you can create an account using any email address and set a secure password.

Step 2: Connect Your Google Business Profile (GBP)

After setting up your account, you’ll be asked to connect your Google Business Profile (GBP).

  • Why Do We Need Access?
    • ReviewRover needs access to your GBP to create custom URLs that direct your customers straight to your review page. This makes it easier for your clients to leave feedback.
    • Rest assured, we only request the necessary permissions required by Google. We’re fully transparent and committed to protecting your privacy.

Step 3: Choose the GBP Profile for Review Requests

Next, select the GBP Profile you want to use for sending review requests.

  • Important Note:
    • Currently, ReviewRover supports one GBP per account.
    • We’re actively working on adding Multi-GBP support. If you’re interested in managing multiple locations, please reach out to [email protected] for potential workarounds or updates on this feature.

Step 4: Connect Your CRM

To fully automate your review requests, connect your preferred CRM system.

  • Available Integrations:
    • QuickBooks Online – Ideal for service-based businesses that invoice clients.
    • Stripe – Perfect for businesses that accept online payments.
    • Zapier – Connects with over 5,000+ apps, allowing you to sync data from popular CRMs like:
      • Jobber – For field service management and job scheduling.
      • Acculynx – Perfect for contractors and construction management.
      • Clio – Designed for law firms and legal professionals.
      • BookingKoala – For appointment-based businesses.
      • Vcita – Excellent for managing appointments, client communication, and payments.

Step 5: Welcome to Your Dashboard!

Congratulations! 🎉 You’ve successfully created your ReviewRover account and should now be looking at your Dashboard.

  • From here, you can:
    • Monitor Review Requests – Track the status of your review requests in real-time.
    • View Feedback – Manage customer feedback and resolve issues privately.
    • Analyze Performance – Measure the effectiveness of your review campaigns.

Step 6: Setting Up Your First Campaign

To start requesting reviews, navigate to the Campaign Tab. This is where you’ll customize your messaging and control your review flow.

Campaign Tab Overview:

  1. Review Selection:
    • Decide whether to direct customers to your GBP or to ReviewRover’s Feedback Section.

  1. Customer Messaging:
    • Customize your SMS and Email templates to reflect your brand’s voice and tone.
    • Pro Tip: Use the customer’s first name and mention the specific service they received for a more personalized message.

  1. Feedback Section:
    • Write a prompt to encourage honest feedback and a thank you message to show appreciation.
    • This section allows you to collect detailed feedback before it goes public, helping you address any issues directly.


Step 7: Launching Your Campaign

Once you’ve customized your messaging, you’re ready to start your outreach.

  • Enable Your Campaign:
    • Click the “Enable Campaign” button in the top right corner of the Campaign Tab.
    • Double-check that the campaign status is set to “Active”—and you’re all set! 🎉
  • Pro Tip:
    • Review your messaging flow by sending a test message to yourself first. This helps you see the customer journey from their perspective.
