Connecting Zapier to Review Rover
ReviewRover integrates with Zapier, connecting your account to 8,000+ apps so you can automatically send contacts from your CRM into ReviewRover without any manual data entry. When a job is completed or a payment is collected in your CRM, Zapier passes the customer's details to ReviewRover and your review request flow kicks off automatically.
What Triggers and Actions Are Available?
Trigger — New or Updated Contact When a new contact is added or an existing contact is updated in ReviewRover, this trigger fires. Use it to keep other tools (like a CRM or email marketing platform) in sync with your ReviewRover contacts.
Action — Create or Update Contact When an event happens in your CRM (like a job being marked complete), Zapier creates or updates the contact in ReviewRover. This is the most common use case — it's how your CRM feeds new customers into your automated review request flow.
ReviewRover uses OAuth2 for authentication with automatic token refresh, so your connection stays secure and active without any manual upkeep.

How to Connect ReviewRover and Zapier
Step 1: Create a Zapier Account Go to zapier.com and sign up for free. The free tier supports up to 100 tasks per month. If you're completing more than 100 jobs per month, Zapier's Starter plan (~$20/month) is all you need.
Step 2: Create a Zap Log in to Zapier and click Create Zap.
Step 3: Set Your Trigger Search for your CRM and select it as the trigger app. Choose the event that should kick off the review request — typically job completion or payment received. Connect your CRM account and test the trigger to confirm data is pulling correctly.
Step 4: Add ReviewRover as the Action Search for ReviewRover and select Create or Update Contact as the action. Connect your ReviewRover account — you'll be redirected to ReviewRover to authorize via OAuth and then brought back to Zapier automatically.
Step 5: Map Your Fields Match your CRM fields to ReviewRover contact fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email (required)
- Phone
Step 6: Test and Publish Click Test Action and confirm the contact appears in your ReviewRover Contacts page. When everything looks good, click Publish and turn your Zap on.
Troubleshooting
My Zap isn't triggering — what's wrong? Confirm your ReviewRover account is correctly connected in Zapier and that the trigger event has actually occurred in your CRM. Use Zapier's Test Connection tool to debug.
Do I need to worry about token expiry? No. ReviewRover's OAuth2 integration handles token refresh automatically.
Can I connect ReviewRover to apps beyond my CRM? Yes. You can use Zapier to connect ReviewRover to any of the 8,000+ apps in their directory — including form tools, scheduling software, payment platforms, and more.
